About Alina
Alina Massey is an intern therapist at Williamsville Wellness, currently in her final year at Pepperdine University's Master's in Clinical Psychology program. Upon graduation, she will begin working towards her licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor. As part of our comprehensive treatment team, Alina brings a unique blend of academic rigor and practical research experience to support clients on their recovery journeys.
Prior to joining our team, Alina worked as a program manager at the Wellbeing Lab at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she led a team of researchers conducting studies focused on the impact of mindfulness-based stress reduction interventions on implicit racism. This research background provides her with valuable insights into evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
Alina uses a client-centered integrated approach within an existential framework, working collaboratively with our treatment team to support clients struggling with addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, and identity issues. Her goal is to help clients build a grounded and healthy sense of self, empowering them to make conscious choices about how they move through the world rather than repeating unhealthy patterns born from difficult circumstances.
