About Claire
Claire Peterson is a graduate student in Virginia Commonwealth University's Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling master's program, bringing fresh perspectives and dedicated care to our treatment team at Williamsville Wellness. With a strong foundation in psychology from James Madison University, she provides counseling services supporting individuals navigating substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns.
Claire has gained valuable experience facilitating group therapy and providing individual therapy in both residential and outpatient treatment settings. She is passionate about providing person-centered care and creating a supportive space for individuals in their recovery journey, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for each client.
Dedicated to continuous learning and developing her clinical skills to best serve diverse populations, Claire plans to pursue licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor upon graduation and continue working in the field of addiction and mental health treatment. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, pursuing creative outlets, and exploring Richmond.
