Alina Massey

Alina is an intern therapist at Williamsville Wellness and is in her final year at Pepperdine University’s Master’s in Clinical Psychology program. Upon graduation she will begin working towards her licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has a BA in English Literature from the University of Miami, a BS in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a graduate certificate in Social Science Research from American University. Alina previously worked as a program manager at the Wellbeing Lab at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she led a team of researchers conducting studies that focused on the impact of mindfulness-based stress reduction interventions on implicit racism.

Alina uses a client-centered integrated approach within an existential framework to work with clients struggling with addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression and identity issues. Alina’s goal is to help clients build a grounded and healthy sense of self, so they can choose how to move through the world rather than repeat unhealthy patterns that were born out of difficult circumstances.
