About Kevin
Kevin Cottrell is a master's level intern at Williamsville Wellness, currently in his final year at Virginia Commonwealth University's Master's in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling program. After graduation, he will pursue licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Kevin completed his undergraduate studies at James Madison University, where he conducted an Honors Thesis research project on strengthening social connection and founded a peer-to-peer support organization dedicated to fostering community on campus. These experiences shaped his passion for helping individuals build meaningful relationships as a foundation for mental health and overall well-being.
Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Client-Centered Therapy, Kevin works to create a supportive, collaborative, and growth-oriented counseling experience. He partners closely with our clinical team to ensure clients' needs are met throughout their recovery journey. His primary goal is to support clients in their recovery by helping them develop practical tools, deeper self-understanding, and healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.
