About Joe
Joseph Bamisile is a master's level intern at Williamsville Wellness, currently in his final year at Virginia Commonwealth University's Master's in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling program.
Joseph completed his undergraduate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he founded a mental health application built around therapy, social connection, and self-help tools. Joseph also was captain of VCU Men's Basketball team during his final year of college. These experiences helped cultivate his passion helping individuals, being a part of teams, and creating meaningful connection to help guide someone to the healing he believes we can all choose for ourselves.
Joseph uses a lot of Mindfulness based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (mCBT), paired with Motivational Interviewing (MI), and a Solution Focused Approach. A combination of these theories helps clients to feel at ease and accepted, while still working towards goals. He works directly with a clinical team to ensure clients are being properly supported in their individual journey. His primary goals are to help clients find peace, look inward, and help them make the best outward day to day choices they can.
