Mecca Williams is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has worked in the mental health field for over 16 years. In addition to outpatient therapy, Mecca has experience with mental health case management, supervising various community based mental health programs, and utilization review for behavioral health insurance.
Mecca Williams is a native of Petersburg, VA.. She holds a B.A. in English, Masters in Counselor Education, and a Post Master’s Certification in Professional Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University. Mecca enjoys working with the adolescent and adult populations and has passion for issues surrounding depression, anxiety, intimate relationships, self-identity, co-dependency, sexual identity, and trauma. Mecca is also certified as a parent educator with the Nurturing Parenting Program and is Virginia Board of Counseling approved clinical supervisor. Besides all things mental health and addiction, Mecca has a passion for fashion/personal style as an art, traveling, reading, facilitating and curating community events, and engaging in different cultural experiences.
